Nyst Gallery in association with Lorraine Pilgrim represents Party Animals a solo exhibition by Llewellyn Skye.
"Llewellyn Skye's feast of animal paintings have a stark, simple, strong compositional force that in a breath releases the individual character of an animal. Very much in the expressionist mode, abstract and emotional, they capture a moment in time as if the animal is looking in the camera."
- June Cummings, June 2008.
"The rather carved texture comes from the complexity of the brushwork. The total mood? Joyful."
- Marina Saint Martin, Weekend Bulletin, June 28, 2008.
"A packed gallery wandered in and out of the many nooks and crannies of this daytime law office, enjoying the expressionistic depiction of animals of all shapes and sizes hung on walls."
- Regina King, Coast Confidential, The Gold Coast Bulletin, July 9, 2008.
